EPA Wants to Label Global Warming a Public Health Threat

Here we go again...liberal activism at its very worst. Liberal activists used the very same strategy - changes in legal definitions and regulations - decades ago with the spotted owl debacle to destroy the timber industry in Oregon.

Now, through the power of government fiat, they are going to arbitrarily rule that "global warming", an unproven figment of the imagination of a group of virulently anti-capitalist, liberal, environmental activists, is somehow a threat to public health and welfare.

Their goal: to shut down the American capitalist engine in the name of "going green". These people are mentally ill. Their hatred for this country is so deep and irrational that they will literally destroy the American economy to achieve their ends...

WASHINGTON -- The White House is reviewing a finding by the Environmental Protection Agency that global warming is a threat to public health and welfare.

The EPA action is the first step to regulating carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases under the Clean Air Act, a move that would have broad economic and environmental impacts.
Congressional officials familiar with the EPA's views say the agency's finding was sent to the White House office of Management and Budget for review.

Two years ago the Supreme Court said if greenhouse gases are found to endanger public health or welfare, then they must be regulated. But the Bush administration refused to make such a finding.

OMB provided no details but said it received the EPA document last Friday.
